RDPSD Division Wide Staff Learning Day 2025
Friday April 4, 2025 10:15am - 11:30am MDT
Empowering students with the confidence to take on challenges and persevere in the face of setbacks is critical for their academic and personal growth. This workshop explores the foundational role of self-efficacy in fostering resilience in students, helping them overcome obstacles and thrive in their educational journeys.

Drawing on insights from educational research, including John Hattie’s statement that "self-efficacy is the belief that one’s actions are the primary determinant of outcomes," this workshop will provide educators with actionable strategies to cultivate a culture of self-belief in their classrooms. Participants will:

Examine the relationship between self-efficacy, motivation, and resilience.
Learn practical techniques to support students in developing a growth mindset.
Explore tools for providing feedback that builds confidence and encourages perseverance.
Identify ways to create an environment where students feel capable, valued, and empowered to succeed.
Join us for this interactive session to deepen your understanding of self-efficacy and walk away with strategies that inspire resilience in all students, regardless of their starting point.
