About me
I identify as an LGBTQ2+ member as well as a long time supporter in my personal life. This is my second year as an EA at Hunting Hills, and my first year as a staff mentor for our school's QSA. I'm brand new to the group, and want to do the best job possible providing an encouraging, safe, accepting, and enjoyable place to be themselves, express their concerns, be supported and just be happy and secure. I'm interested in taking a more active role in LGBTQ2+ activism and rights recognition and want to help create a culture of awarness and acceptance throughout our school and community. About Me: I'm a mom of a 2 year old girl and a 5 year old boy who has just started kindergarten this year; I consider myself to be a liberalist and I support individuality, personal freedoms, choice, and I personally appreciate and encourage uniqueness and courage whenever I see it; I love to do anything artistic and creative, but chose not to do this for a career as I feel pulled to work that directly involves serving people and making lives better - I think that is why i love my job as an educational assistant so much; I like to bake, garden, knit, read, draw, paint, do pottery, write prose, spend quality time with people, drink coffee, bowl (badly), and spend time in nature hiking, camping, or just going for walks rain or shine.
