Friday April 4, 2025 8:30am - 9:45am MDT
This workshop session aims to provide teachers, support teachers, and education assistants with perspectives that effectively support the inclusion of students with intellectual disabilities. This session will cover a strength-based view of working with students focusing on a mindset that presumes competence, where every student is viewed as a learner and a contributing member. Presenters will share examples of how this practice can be embedded in inclusive classrooms. Furthermore, we will explore how pivotal school personnel and classmates are in nurturing a culture of inclusion and belonging for all students.
